PALMVIEW — A driver who fled the scene of a one-vehicle crash in Palmview has voluntarily surrendered to authorities. According to police, the incident happened July 27 at about 3:00 a.m. in the 1100 block of E. Palma Vista Drive.
According to Palmview City officials, the driver of a red Dodge Ram TRX ran into the Joe Ruiz Income Tax building and ran from the scene. The owners of the business were called to the scene and are pressing charges on the driver, police said.
The driver came forward the following day and provided a statement to police. His identity was not immediately released and was pending arraignment as of this report.
