Visibility is severely limited and it’s difficult to react quickly when a hazard suddenly appears on the road before you. A Daingerfield woman was the unfortunate victim of a collision with a tractor-trailer due to thick foggy weather.

Poor Weather

The victim in the accident filed a complaint in early January 2016 with the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against the tractor driver and the company employing him.

The lawsuit states that in December of 2014, the driver of the tractor collided with the victim’s vehicle, an accident allegedly due to the defendant driving at an unsafe speed in foggy weather on U.S. Highway 259. Failure to keep a proper lookout was also listed as a cause.

The victim claims that she suffered bodily harm in the wreck along with damages affecting her ability to work. The extent of her injuries and other factors were not available. She is seeking damages and a jury trial.
