ALTON — One person is hospitalized as the result of a February 26 dog attack in Alton. According to a news release, the attack happened at 4:15 p.m. near Los Ebanos Road and 4 Mile Line in Alton.
Alton Police Chief Mark Perez told KGBT-TV that responders had to use a tourniquet on the victim to stop the bleeding. The victim’s identity and medical condition were not immediately known.
The case is being investigated by the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office.
Who can be held responsible for a dog attack?
