Mission Police investigating motorcycle-car accident

Mission police are investigating an October 17 car-motorcycle crash that sent one woman to the hospital.  Police say they received a call about the crash on the I-2 Frontage Road near Stewart Road at about 7:00 a.m.

Preliminary information on the crash is sketchy, revealing only that a Jeep hit a motorcycle driven by a 52-year-old woman. The woman was taken McAllen Medical Center, reportedly for treatment of broken ribs. She was last reported to be under evaluation in the intensive care unit. Her name was not immediately released.

An investigation is ongoing, and officers are said to be reconstructing the crash scene.
